Title IX: What you need to know about the laws that changed the game for women. 

Title IX states that, “No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any educational program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.” Since Title IX, funding for girls sports teams has skyrocketed, creating a 990% increase in women playing high school sports.
