When Your Workout is at Your Desk, You Have No Excuses!

Guess what? I’m ‘working out’ while writing this sentence. 

Working out can often be put on the back burner when you’re busy running a business. In fact, too much sitting is as bad as smoking and drinking, according to researchers. Let’s get movin’ and shakin’!

“Are you kidding?” you might ask. Who’s got the time to get to a gym? You may not need to.

Lifehack compiled thislist of 29 Exercises You Can Do at or Near Your Desk; here are a few of our favorites:

  1. Take the stairs. If you need a harder workout, try taking them two at a time — you’ll get a chance to stretch your legs more than you would otherwise.
  2. Wrist stretch. Stretch your arm out in front of you with the palm up. With your other hand, grab your fingers and lightly pull them down to stretch your forearm.
  3. Back twist. Sit up straight in your chair and place your right arm behind your right hip. Twist to the right and hold. Alternate sides.
  4. Chair squats. Lift your rear end off of your seat and hold for a few seconds.
